Sections of the M6 and M53 will be partially closed this week for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to "expect disruption".
The motorways will be closed for essential roadworks and National Highways has told drivers to expect disruption and delays. all of the closures will take place overnight with the longest section being the M53 between junctions one (Wallasey) and four (Clatterbridge).
This week (May 16 - May 22) there are no scheduled motorway works on Saturday and Sunday.

Here's a list of all the motorway closures you can expect this week:
Monday, May 16
The M6 northbound between junctions 20 (Lymm) and 21 (Woolston Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound between junctions five (Hooton Interchange) and three (Heswall Island) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Tuesday, May 17
The M6 northbound between junctions 20 (Lymm) and 21 (Woolston Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions four (Clatterbridge Interchange) and three (Heswall Island) between 8pm and 5am.
Wednesday, May 18
The M6 northbound between junctions 20 (Lymm) and 21 (Woolston Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Thursday, May 19
The M53 northbound will be closed between junctions four (Clatterbridge Interchange) and two (Upton Interchange) between 8pm and 5am.
Friday, May 20
The M53 northbound between junctions one (Wallasey) and four (Clatterbridge) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22
No closures
