Experts predict the M4 and M5 interchange is going to be a traffic hotspot this bank holiday weekend. The AA has issued an amber travel alert as it forecasts up to 15 million leisure trips will be taken this weekend.
It says around 45% of UK drivers will embark on at least one non-commuting journey between Friday and Monday. Families returning from summer holidays before the start of the new school year will battle for road space with festivalgoers and people embarking on day trips.
The AA predicts between 10am and 4pm on Saturday will be the busiest parts of the weekend. Motorists are being warned to expect delays on major routes.
