M25 traffic LIVE: Drivers face 13 mile queues and 110 minute delays after three lanes shut by vehicle fire

Drivers on the M25 are facing major delays after three lanes were closed for emergency resurfacing following a vehicle fire.

The incident took place between junction 26 at Waltham Abbey, Essex, and junction 25 at Enfield, north London.

National Highways said only one of the four lanes was available for traffic and there are current delays of 110 minutes on the approach, and 13 miles of congestion.

Work is expected to be completed late in the morning.

A second incident is also causing delays clockwise between junction 3 at Swanley and junction 4 at Orpington.

All lanes open as traffic returns to normal

All lanes have now reopened across both incidents on the M25 this morning.

There are now only small delays between both Junctions 3 & 4 clockwise and between Junctions 26 and 25 anticlockwise, with traffic cameras showing conditions returning to normal.

Lane reopens between J3 & 4

Lanes have now reopened on the #M25 clockwise between Junctions 3 and 4.

There are still delays of 45 minutes on approach, with 4 miles of congestion, according to National Highways.

Second incident on M25

A second incident is causing further delays in another stretch of the M25 this morning.

A crash involving four cars and a lorry is causing disruption clockwise between J3 (Swanley) and J4 (Orpington).

One lane is closed after an earlier full traffic hold, with queues currently stretching for around three miles.

Traffic on the M25 is currently being diverted via the M11 and the North Circular.

There are still delays of up 106 minutes on the M25 anticlockwise.

M25 remains closed until 'mid morning'
