Roads around Belfast will be closed for a period of time this weekend as a major maintenance scheme continues on the M2 'Hill Section.' The first phase of this scheme began on June 17.
The £30,000 scheme will take place on the north-bound carriageway between Junction 2 (Greencastle) and Junction 4 (Sandyknowes) and involves replacement of deeper layers of road pavement.
The Department for Infrastructure have said the investment will have long term benefits in restoring the structure of the road to a good condition and will improve the structural capacity of the road, enabling it to carry current and future traffic levels along this key route.
