M1 reopened after two-vehicle collision

The M1 westbound has reopened after a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Sunday.

Motorists were advised to leave extra time for their journeys after the collision caused delays close to junction 11 outside Lurgan.

TrafficWatch NI said: "Following a road traffic collision the M1 has been closed Westbound at Junction 11(Ballynacor Interchange) to allow recovery . Diversions are in place - Knock on delays are to be expected road users should allow extra time for their journeys."

The incident has now been cleared and police have reported that there were no serious injuries.

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M1 westbound, close to junction 11, outside Lurgan, shortly before 11:30am on Sunday, February 13.

"One lane was closed for a short time but has now reopened. There were no reports of any serious injuries."
