It's almost Valentine's Day and Marks and Spencer has delighted its loyal shoppers on social media by bringing back their duo caterpillar cake.
The high street giant has become a popular choice among shoppers for its range of Insta-worthy food for February 14, which includes its iconic 'Dine in for two' meal deal. There's another dish that usually goes down a storm this time of year - Colin the Caterpillar and his V-day friend Connie.
M&S first paired up its iconic chocolate caterpillar cake with his friend back in 2021 and the loved-up couple have become popular since. Luckily, M&S has announced the cakes are officially back in stores for you to enjoy with your other half, friends, or even by yourself.
Priced at £6 each, the individual Colin and Connie cakes are made with the signature chocolate sponge cake, filled with rich chocolate buttercream, covered in milk chocolate and topped with heart decorations.
M&S announced the couple's return on its Instagram account in a post that read: "The perfect gift to celebrate your love (or fave friendship!)...our individual Colin and Connie’s are back for Valentine’s Day!
"Mix and match for your perfect duo, made with everyone’s favourite signature chocolate sponge cake, filled with rich chocolate buttercream, covered in milk chocolate and topped with heart decorations."
The adorable caterpillar cakes were an immediate hit with shoppers who were so "smitten" with them that they flocked to the comments section to express their enthusiasm at their return.
"Very cute am smitten", exclaimed one shopper.
"Best cake ever", raved a second.
"Aw this is too cute!", replied a third.
"SO CUTE", added a fourth.
"Obviously we need to get these", added a fifth tagging their friend.
Loved up shoppers can pick up the Love Is In the Air Colin and Love Is In the Air Connie cakes for £6 each in M&S stores now.
