M&S shares simple trick to transform hot cross buns into tasty churros

It wouldn't be Easter without a hot cross bun, or two - and thankfully Marks & Spencer has got us covered.

M&S always blows it out of the park when it comes to party food and seasonal treats, and this year is no different with its Walter the sausage dog Easter egg and bunny tail profiteroles.

But its hot cross bun turned churros recipe is what's really got people talking.

Addressing its 1.9million followers on Instagram, M&S wrote: "Any two packs of our delicious hot cross buns are just £2.50 in-store.

"And if you’re looking for a treat, why not slice into strips, fry and coat in cinnamon sugar to make churros – they taste amazing served with a warm chocolate dipping sauce!"

The brand also shared the full recipe with customers.

It says you'll need double cream, chocolate, maple syrup, sugar and butter alongside the hot cross buns and cinnamon - and most of us have that stuff in the kitchen already (especially at Easter).

While a third chimed in, simply writing: "Yes please."

And if you're cooking a lamb roast this Easter Sunday, we have a fool-proof recipe that might tempt you into making your own Yorkshire puddings.

We know that making Yorkshires from scratch can be hit and miss, but we promise you with this recipe it's not.

So before you pop your Aunt Bessie's in the oven, listen to what Masterchef finalist Bart Van Der Lee has to say, and when he guarantees perfectly risen and golden Yorkshire's every time, we'd make notes too.

Find the full recipe, here, plus his step-by-step method, and mistakes to avoid to ensure everything goes to plan.
