With the cost of living crisis crippling households up and down the country, families are having to limit their spending as prices continue to rise, from energy bills to fuel costs and supermarket groceries. Another item many families may have to budget down on is school uniforms.
It's no secret that school uniforms can be a costly affair for parents, particularly if they have more than one child to dress or if they have to pay out annually for new sizes. But parents will be pleased to hear that Marks and Spencer will not be rising prices on its schoolwear range this year.
Until July 25, the retail giant will be offering 20 per cent off as part of its early bird back to school promotion. M&S has also promised to hold prices on everything from polo shirts and school blouses, to trousers and skirts, Manchester Evening News reports.
