M&S fans think new Easter treat 'looks wrong' and 'belongs in Ann Summers'

Marks and Spencer fans have found themselves giggling as the retailer unveiled a new Easter treat.

M&S is known for its clothes, homeware and more, as well as a high-end food offering. The retailer regularly takes to Instagram to share new products, and a chocolate item has had shoppers talking.

On Wednesday, the brand unveiled its "23 Carrot Gold & Bunny Ears", a large carrot made from blond chocolate with real gold leaf, that comes with four salted caramel chocolate bunny ears.

Captioning a photo of the item, M&S said: "So, who’s ready to start talking about Easter? Introducing our new eggs-ellent '23 carrot gold' egg!"

Some shoppers were keen on the new treat. Taking to the comments section, Emma said: "Oooooo so I’ll be asking the Easter bunny for this!!!!", while Laura said: "Slightly weird, but yes, I’ll go for that!" [sic].

But others thought it "looked wrong". Carol said: "Are you sure this isn't a Valentine's item?"

Gianmarco said: "That looks so wrong!", while Nicky said: "Looking like an advert for Ann Summers!" and Marilyn said: "Haha, this looks rude, I love it though".

Marks and Spencer's 23 Carrot Gold & Bunny Ears are now on sale for £9 each.
