M&S divides shoppers with ban across all its stores in time for Christmas

Marks and Spencer has divided shoppers after banning any wrapping paper that contains plastic this Christmas.

The retailer decided to issue the ban in 2021 as well, and because it was such a success, it's been introduced UK-wide again for this festive season.

All plastic will be removed from items such as wrapping paper and gift bags, to reduce the amount of harmful waste that gets released into the environment - but not everyone is happy about this decision, Birmingham Live reports.
