M&S apologises after woman 'shooed like cattle' into men's toilets by staff

M&S has apologised after a woman claimed she was misgendered and had her hidden disability disregarded while shopping with her girlfriend.

Tay Beales, 22, is due to move in with girlfriend Freya and the couple were looking in the store's homeware section.

Tay, who has epilepsy, wanted to use the disabled toilet at the store in Exeter's High Street on Tuesday (May 17), but was told by a member of staff that she couldn't use it because she 'was not disabled'. A sign on the toilet door said 'not every disability is visible', DevonLive reports.
