Marks & Spencer have announced the closure of one of their stores within an Edinburgh shopping centre.
The branch, located at Ocean Terminal, will close later this year due to "changing shopping habits" with the "majority" of staff members set to be offered a new role within the capital.
The M&S at the popular shopping centre in Leith has been an ever-present, although a huge shake-up within Ocean Terminal is on the cards in the shape of a £100 million regeneration of the 20-year-old building.

Part of the site is set to be demolished and replaced with a hotel and several new retail outlets, as well as the new Trams to Newhaven project set for completion in Spring 2023.
The plans were put forward by the centre's Scottish owners, Ambassador Group, last year, detailing plans to put local residents and workers thoughts first and deliver a complete regeneration of the famous shopping centre, which currently houses the likes of VUE Cinema, Boots, Starbucks and the vacant Debenhams store, which is one of the areas that is set to be bulldozed as part of the plans.
Now, M&S looks set to be another casualty of the plans as Scott Munro, Regional Manager for Scotland East commented: "Shopping habits are changing and we’re reshaping our store estate across Scotland and the UK to make sure we’re reflecting the needs of our customers. As part of this transformation, we have today announced to colleagues our decision to close the M&S store at Ocean Terminal later this year.
"Our priority is to support our colleagues through these changes and we are confident of being able to offer new roles to the vast majority of those affected. We are committed to Edinburgh and this decision means there are more opportunities to invest in our eight other stores across the city."
The company currently have 95 locations across Scotland and more recently in Edinburgh, they opened new look foodhalls within the Gyle shopping centre and Straiton retail park.
