M&D’s famous Darktober is returning the theme park in October, alongside the launch of a brand new immersive terror experience called The Well.
The fright nights will take place from October 1 to 31, with last year's experience winning the UK’s Scary Vision Award. The Well promises to top previous events with scares, jumps and all things spooky for Halloween.
Set in an abandoned farm, visitors will learn of the bloody history surrounding The Well and find themselves intertwined in a gory tale of disappearance - while coming face to face with horrifying creatures that have crawled from the depths. Other than experiencing The Well, M&D’s will be giving the opportunity for visitors to ride a selection of outdoor rides in the dark.

The Twister, Rip Tide, Dancing Galleons and many more will be open for visitors with a Darktober wristband - giving them access to rides as many times as they like.
Park director Jensen Taylor Connelly said: “Darktober is a popular event at M&D’s and this year the fear factor has been elevated with The Well which promises to be a great attraction for the Halloween season - for those brave enough.”
The Well is suitable for 15-year-olds and upwards, or 12-year-olds in the company of a paying adult. During the month of October, younger visitors to M&D’s can also enjoy the Pumpkin Outdoor Festival.
The family event will offer ghostly storytelling, bash a pumpkin games, a pumpkin trail and pumpkin picking patch. As well as this, the pumpkin express train will take children around the park.
Online tickets for Darktober and The Well together are priced at £23.45 or can be purchased separately - £14 for The Well and £9.95 for Darktober. More information can be found here.
