Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Tuesday, February 1 as the Gunners look to build on a disappointing transfer window.
Lacazette pursuit
According to French outlet L'Equipe, via GFFN, Lyon failed with an attempt to bring Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette back to the club four and a half years after leaving for the Emirates Stadium.
The report also claims that the Ligue 1 side will try and re-sign the 30-year-old this summer - when he will become a free agent.
Lacazette has enjoyed a rollercoaster time in north London, notching 70 goals and 32 assists in 192 games for the Gunners.
Aubameyang seals Barcelona move
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally sealed a move to La Liga giants Barcelona following extensive talks on deadline day.
Aubameyang was stripped of his captaincy duties by the north Londoners back in December following a disciplinary breach and football.london reported over the festive period that Arsenal were open to offers for the 32-year-old.
The former Borussia Dortmund frontman rejected approaches from Saudi side Al-Nassr as he wanted to stay in Europe before travelling to Catalonia on Monday afternoon in an attempt to seal a move to Xavi's side.
Despite considerable criticism during the window, technical director Edu was able to shift his £350,000 per week salary off the wage bill as he left for the Camp Nou on a free transfer.

It was thought that Raul de Tomas could arrive to bolster depth in the No.9 spot, but sources close to the player revealed to football.london that a deal was too difficult to sort before the 11pm deadline.
Espanyol director Jose Maria Duran confirmed that Arsenal contacted the club about a move but they were unwilling to part ways with their player.
“Arsenal called for Raúl de Tomás but we didn’t even want to talk," he told Esport3, as cited by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
"We won’t let him go now, no way. His release clause is €75million (£62.4million)”.
