Lyon boss Peter Bosz says he “loved” Newcastle’s new midfielder Bruno Guimarães not just for what he did on the pitch but also for his role in the dressing room.

The 24-year-old Brazil international was a shock signing for Newcastle United this week, arriving for a reported £32.5m from French side Lyon.

Guimarães was highly regarded at the French club and was being tracked by Arsenal before Newcastle's new owners started to make enquiries.
