Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes has made a return to Queens Park Rangers training.
It comes a matter of weeks after he was hospitalised last month after suffering from pneumonia.
He was discharged from hospital around two weeks ago, as it was confirmed that the frontman would sit a significant spell out on the sidelines to recover.
Manager Neil Critchley that Dykes would be out of action for the foreseeable future as part of that recovery time.
However, the QPR boss has admitted that the Australian-born striker is making good progress already.
It would still appear that Scotland's Euro 2024 qualifiers approaching at the end of March will be too soon, though.
Speaking ahead of his side's clash with Middlesborough, Critchley revealed: "He returned to Heston yesterday and it gave everyone a real lift. Dykesy is a great guy, you heard him straight away.
"He's desperate to get back and is already pushing himself. At the moment, he's just doing low-level physical stuff. We'll take it step-by-step with him."
Since signing for the West London club from Livingston in 2020, Dykes has scored 27 goal in 109 appearances.
He has also been pivotal for Steve Clarke in the national team setup, scoring eight goals in 26 caps for the national team.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have confirmed that defender Calvin Ramsay will miss the rest of the season through injury.
The club confirmed that the Scotland international had undergone surgery but did not detail the cause of the injury.
Since joining from Aberdeen last summer the 19-year-old has made two appearances for the first team.
