Lydia Ko What's In The Bag?
Lydia Ko had an astronomical rise to fame. A hot start to her professional golf career saw her reach No.1 in the Women's World Golf Rankings on 2 February 2015 at just 17 years, nine months and nine days of age.
It made her the youngest player, male or female, to be ranked No.1 in professional golf.
The New Zealand native has since accumulated three Major Championship titles, including the 2024 Women’s British Open and is the reigning Olympic champion.
Ko is not officially ‘signed’ to Ping on an endorsement deal but nevertheless plays the brand's clubs.
Driver
What Driver Does Lydia Ko Use?

Previously a PXG contracted player, Ko did switch around between PXG driver models and also Titleist models including the TSi3 and TSR3.
At present, she trusts Ping off the tee, using the Ping G430 Max 10K driver. She has this in the 9° head and it's fitted with a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 50 S shaft.
The Ping G430 Max 10K is one of the best drivers on the market, a model that will suit a broad range of golfers.
Fairways
What Fairway Wood Does Lydia Ko Use?

Into the fairway woods and Ko has two options: a Ping G430 Max (15°) 3-wood with a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 60 S shaft, and a Ping G440 Max (17°) 4-wood with a Mitsubishi Diamana PD 60 S shaft.
Ko might well make the move into the latest version fairways over the course of the season. For now it seems she's happy to play a slighter older model 3-wood.
We found the launch of the Ping G440 Max to be fairly low, and so taking advantage of the new 4-wood option may be more practical for some golfers.
Hybrid
What Hybrid Does Lydia Ko Use?

To bridge the gap between her fairway woods and irons, Ko selects one of the best hybrids we have tested, the Ping G430.
She has two of these, one 19° and one 22°, and in all likelihood would only carry one during a tournament and swap them in and out depending on the course she's playing.
Both hybrids are fitted with the Graphite Design Tour AD HY 65 S shaft.
Irons
What Irons Does Lydia Ko Use?

Like many tour players, Ko is using a combo set in her irons. She starts at the top of the bag with the Ping i230 irons in her 5, 6 and 7 irons, before blending into the Ping Blueprint S in her 8- and 9-iron.
This is usually done to provide a little more pop and launch at the top end of the bag, whilst prioritising feel and control in the short irons.
She uses one of the most popular graphite iron shafts across all the major men's and women's professional tours, the AeroTech SteelFiber fc 70 gram shaft.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Lydia Ko Use?

Ko then carries four Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges to cover her short game needs - P, G, S, 58-12D.
We believe the lofts are 46°, 48°, 54° and 58°, with her most lofted club bent to 60°, and they are fitted with the AeroTech SteelFiber fc 80 gram shaft.
Without question, Bob Vokey makes some of the best wedges in the game.
Putter
What Putter Does Lydia Ko Use?

Ko's putter situation has changed a fair bit in recent years. She had been using a PXG Blackjack model for some time before switching to a prototype called the Thunderbolt, as well as a Thunderbolt C model.
Ko also had a Ping Ketsch center-shafted model in the bag for a while, although she now uses a Scotty Cameron P5 GSS Center Shaft Tour Prototype.
Ball
What Ball Does Lydia Ko Use?

Lydia Ko plays a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, one of the best premium golf balls on the market.
The Titleist 2025 Pro V1x has become faster and lower spinning through the bag, which for most players will be a welcome change given the short-game control remains very high.
Apparel/Shoes
What Shoes Does Lydia Ko Wear?

"We spend a long part of the day in our golf shoes. Most of our rounds take five hours and with practice it adds up pretty quick," says Ko.
"That's why for me the most important question is: are they comfortable? If golf shoes are not comfortable, I'm not going to wear them."
This is one of the reasons why the LPGA Tour Player of the Year 2022 is an Ecco ambassador, for the brand is well known for making some of the most comfortable golf shoes on the market.
In terms of apparel, at the start of the 2025, Ko signed a clothing sponsorship deal with Boss Golf.
