In a thrilling final round of golf at the Olympics, a 27-year-old player from New Zealand emerged victorious to clinch the gold medal. With the pressure on in the final group of the day, she knew that a par on her 18th hole would secure her the top spot on the leaderboard.

However, she exceeded expectations by scoring a birdie on the par-5 hole, sealing her victory with a one-under-par 71 to finish at an impressive 10-under for the tournament.

This gold medal completes her Olympic medal collection, adding to the silver and bronze medals she had previously won. Notably, this victory also earns her the final point needed to qualify for the prestigious LPGA Hall of Fame.

Following closely behind was Germany's Esther Henseleit, who secured the silver medal with a score of 8-under. The bronze medal went to Lin Xiyu of China, finishing just one shot behind the silver medalist.

The competition was fierce, but it was the New Zealand player's exceptional performance under pressure that ultimately led her to victory and solidified her status as a top contender in the world of golf.
