The beautiful Auchrannie Resort is described as a "very unique place to work". They are a Real Living Wage employer offering an hourly wage of £10.36 as well being as Scotland's first Employee Owned Resort.
The job description reads: "In 2020 we were voted in the Times Best Companies Top 50 places to work in Scotland and we truly believe that our People are the key to our success. Our resort includes two 4 star hotels, over 40 5 star self catering lodges and retreats, 3 restaurants, a spa and stunning leisure facilities all set in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Brodick on the Isle of Arran."
If this sounds appealing, they are looking for an experienced receptionist to join their team who has a minimum of one years experience - preferably gained from working in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star hospitality business. In addition they say that the working pattern is "usually five days from seven on a rolling rota basis. You must be available to work weekends and evening shifts."
Writing in the description about the full-time position they add: "You will be outgoing and passionate about delivering excellent service to delight our guests. We are looking for someone who is self motivated and comfortable to use their own initiative to manage guest queries and deliver an exceptional overall experience. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you will spend a lot of time interacting with guests.
"Please note that due to the working pattern for this position and our island location, we are only able to accept applications from candidates who are willing to re-locate or live on Arran. Live in accommodation is available in our modern staff accommodation."
Main duties include:
- To provide front desk reception welcome and services to guests.
- To take bookings and enquiries as required and if the reservationist is unavailable.
- To liaise with other departments across the Resort to ensure all guest needs are met.
- To provide excellent Resort and local knowledge to advise guests on ways to enhance their stay.
- To maintain the cleanliness and ambience our Reception areas
