Luxury Real Estate Brokers Charged With Rape Allegations

Suspects arrested or at large are displayed during State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle's press conference at the State Attorney's Office, in Miami, Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, regarding the arrest

Two luxury real estate brokers and their brother have been charged with luring, drugging, and violently raping dozens of women over more than a decade, according to a federal indictment unsealed in Manhattan. The indictment alleges that the brothers used their wealth and influence to take advantage of women from at least 2010 to 2021.

The brothers, known for brokering deals on high-end properties in New York City and Miami, allegedly used deception, fraud, and coercion to entice victims to travel with them or attend parties and events. They often covered expenses such as flights and hotels, and sometimes used the promise of a romantic relationship to lure women.

Victims were reportedly drugged and raped by the brothers and other men before being sent away with concert tickets and other luxuries. Prosecutors described instances where the women were provided drugs, including cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, and GHB. Some victims were surreptitiously drugged, leaving them physically impaired and unable to resist the assaults.

In Florida, state prosecutors filed charges related to three alleged sexual assaults involving the brothers and another man. The incidents included a gang rape in 2016 and assaults in 2017 and 2021. The brothers were arrested in Florida and are expected to appear in court.

Lawyers for the brothers have denied the charges, with one attorney stating that the evidence will show their innocence. The elder brother appeared in court and faces a detention hearing, while the other two brothers are in state custody.

Representatives for women who filed lawsuits against the brothers welcomed the charges, expressing hope for justice for the victims. The brothers, who previously worked for a real estate giant and later started their own company, are facing serious allegations that have shocked many.
