Four varieties of the popular Haagen-Dazs range of ice cream sold in Irish supermarkets have been recalled by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
Belfian Chocolate, Cookies and Cream, Pralines and Cream and the Belgian Chocolate and Strawberry Crunch flavours of the ice cream brand with an array of best before dates (available below) have all been recalled. Evidence of a chemical that is not permitted in foods sold in the EU was detected in one of the ingredients used to make the ice cream.
The FSAI recall notice said the consumption of the recalled products "does not pose an acute risk to health" but warned there is an "increased risk" with continued consumption.
