A south Dublin residential development had secured a greenlight for a rooftop swimming pool.
Red Rock Developments received permission from planners to build the pool at its Elmpark Green development on Merrion Road in Dublin 4. The property developer had sought to amend the scheme’s original proposal with the provision of “an external swimming pool at ninth-floor level” in a planning application date from September last year.
Keith Craddock of Red Rock said the apartment would have fantastic views across the city and Dublin Bay, The Irish Times reports. The firm also secured permission to raise the number of residential units from 73 to 78 adding a floor to the secondary block, making it five storeys high, and adding a floor to the primary block, making it 10 storeys high.
