A luxury clothes store are set to be taking over an iconic Edinburgh shop in the city centre, if plans are approved.
Moving into the unit on at 49 George Street, ‘HIP’ have applied to rebrand the space currently occupied by Jigsaw clothing and accessories.
Issuing a request to change the branding and outdoor flags, HIP will be offering a range of both mens and women’s fashion.

Stocking a selection of brands from Nike to New Balance and Uniform Bridge, items of clothing at the store do not come cheap, with the average mens jacket costing anywhere from £140 to £350.

Also stocking women’s clothing and a selection of footwear, the brand is based down south, with the George Street site to be the first Edinburgh store.
Hoping to give the frontage of the Georgian building a slick all-black and stone look, an official decision from the council on the signage is yet to be made.
