Lusk United to play 24 hour football match to raise funds for new facility and autism charity

Footballers from a club in north Dublin are set to play a 24-hour match to raise funds for charity.

On Friday 16 June at 6pm, Lusk United football Club is holding a 24 hour game of football as a special fundraiser for club funds and 'As I Am', Ireland's national autism charity. The club is planning on having 42 teams, which includes boys and girls as well as their academy members, play for a timetabled hour from 6pm on 16 June to 6pm on June 17.

According to the club, representatives from Lusk Inclusion Group will be around on the day to talk about about their work and vision for Lusk. Lusk United is also aiming to build a much needed all weather facility to facilitate its growing membership.

The club has said that there is still a chance to sign up for walking football players, coaches, volunteers and parents' matches as well.
