Lush confirms date it will move to Cabot Circus into unit double the size

Lush Cosmetics has confirmed when it will be relocating to Cabot Circus into a unit double the size. The cosmetics retailer first announced it was moving from Broadmead high street into a site formerly occupied by Boux Avenue - opening on Good Friday (April 7).

The larger premises will have a retail area of 164 sqm in the shopping centre and will feature a party and community space, offering customisable parties for £25 per person. The new site will also highlight categories of Lush inventions from the 1980s including the shampoo bar and the bath bomb, as well as a section with an array of ethical gifts for Easter.

There will also be dedicated space for personal, bespoke Lush skincare consultations as well as a Perfume bar to discover Lush’s new Home fragrance range. The new store is part of the retailer's plans to invest approximately £6.1m for new shops, relocations and refits across the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Lush Bristol's shop manager Rebecca Grundy, said: “For more than a decade, I’ve proudly worked within our small but mighty shop on Bristol’s high street and am thrilled to be able to offer an enhanced customer experience with our beautiful new space in Cabot Circus. We want to bring our ‘small shop energy’ that our customers know and love into a broader space of fresh, handmade innovations with more room to offer experiences. I’ve been so proud to serve this community, and I’m excited to see it grow.”

Rebecca, who has been the store's manager for the past nine years having first started working in the shop 11 years ago, added: “I started as a Christmas temp, never knowing it would lead me into management but I’m so glad it did.

"I loved the progression and development, and the lovely connections I made along the way! I always envisaged myself being a teacher, went to uni to do just that until I realised I can teach as part of this role too.”

Alongside some new furniture produced from ethically sourced and durable materials, Lush Bristol will have upcycled furniture as well. Countertops and surfaces on the shop floor are supplied by Smile Plastics – their decorative surface panels are a step towards a comprehensive circular economy and closed-loop material cycle.

Founded over 27 years ago, Lush has built a name for itself as an ethical, environmental and sustainable cosmetics brand. It operates in 48 countries with over 900 shops, 38 websites shipping worldwide
