Lumpy skin disease in Rajasthan: Toll rises to 5,807, Jodhpur worst hit

JODHPUR: The death toll due to lumpy skin disease among cows in the state has increased to 5,807 on Thursday, while the total number of infected animals stands at 1,20,782, according to official figures.

The animal husbandry department said 94,222 animals were treated, 42,232 recovered. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot also reviewed the situation with district collectors and sought central assistance to control the disease on Thursday.
