Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has admitted that the atmosphere at Old Trafford is the best that he can remember since joining the club.
Shaw has made 234 appearances for the Reds since his switch from Southampton in 2014. It has been a rollercoaster spell for the Englishman in Manchester but under Erik ten Hag, the 27-year-old has proven his worth.
In recent matches, Shaw has been implemented in the centre-back position and has excelled in that role. Against Manchester City, the defender was one of United's standout performers and post-match he explained one of the major improvements he has spotted at Old Trafford.

He told reporters: "It's incredible, for me, I've been here a long time now, I think eight years. For me, today, the atmosphere was the best I've been involved in.
"It shows the fans are with us, they're pushing us in the right direction, and I hope they really enjoyed it today. We love the atmosphere; we love them being there and we are glad to be making them happy again."
United arguably had the better of the first half without having much of the ball. Bruno Fernandes went closest but his shot was dragged wide of Ederson's goal.
Pep Guardiola's team were rejuvenated after the interval and were in front when substitute Jack Grealish headed home from close range. United were level 18 minutes later when a through ball by Casemiro was converted by Fernandes despite appeals that Marcus Rashford was interfering in an offside position.
Rashford won the bragging rights for the Reds in the dying stages when he converted Alejandro Garnacho's cross in front of the Stretford End. United are now a point behind City but have dropped back to fourth after Newcastle's late victory over Fulham on Sunday.
