Luke Evans fans ’in tears’ as he sings in video shot on the stunning Welsh coast

Hollywood star Luke Evans has always been proud of his Welsh roots, telling WalesOnline last December 'I've really fought for people to know that I am a Welsh actor', and he has now moved fans to tears with his rendition of You Raise Me Up for St David's Day. Posting a clip of the video to his Instagram many fans commented on how touching the performance was from the Rhymney Valley actor who's been in The Pembrokeshire Murders and Nine Perfect Strangers.

Filmed on the Vale of Glamorgan coastline, the video shows Luke putting his heart and soul into the performance which features the Treorchy Male Choir, who he recorded with on his latest album, A Song For You.

He captioned the post: "In celebration of St David's Day this coming Wednesday I had the opportunity to head home to Wales for this special performance of You Raise Me Up".
