There was no love lost between two NBA superstars during a Sunday tilt between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks.
The two Western Conference heavyweights battled in Dallas for a bit of momentum going into the March schedule. The game featured a new scuffle between franchise faces Luka Dončić and Devin Booker.
After Dončić missed a layup with seconds remaining in the game and Booker engaged in what looked to be an indirect taunt aimed at the Mavs star, the two got chippy with each other and had to be broken up by teammates.
It seems the scuffle got a little NSFW, too. The two haven’t gotten along in the past and renewed their feud on Sunday.
It’s just not the kind of moment you expect to see between two NBA titans, but it certainly got the popcorn popping for NBA fans at home.

Booker might have been telling the ref that Doncic pushed off, which is an indirect taunt.

Well, now that was unexpected. The Suns won this round, 130-126, but more games could be on the horizon. Dončić and Booker are two of the league’s true stars, and the two really might get more time together in the Western Conference playoffs.
Can you imagine an NBA conference finals with a title berth on the line between the Suns and Mavericks? Sparks would fly, and we’d be tuning in for every game in the series.
