Liverpool favourite Luis Suarez told Erling Haaland he is the best number nine on the planet after the Norwegian scored yet another hat-trick to down neighbours Manchester United.
Haaland, 22, continues to take the Premier League by storm and his latest treble moved his staggering tally so far this campaign to 17 in 11 games across all competitions. Haaland cost Manchester City around £51million when they won the race for his sought-after signature this summer.
Having totted up 85 goals in 88 matches for old club Borussia Dortmund Haaland's goal ratio since moving to England has been even more impressive.

Nine seasons on from Suarez winning the Premier League golden boot, it would take some effort from Harry Kane and other would-be contenders to go deny Haaland that accolade this season. But where does the ex-Dortmund man rank against the best frontmen on the planet right now?
According to Suarez, Haaland stands top of the list at number one. Following the derby, Suarez commented on Haaland's Instagram post marking the win: "Congratulations my friend! Amazing game for you. Best number nine at the moment."
