Luis Palma to Rangers transfer silence broken by player's agent as he reveals 10 TEAMS battling for striker signature

Luis Palma's agent has addressed speculation over a move to Rangers - revealing as many as 10 TEAMS are already in contact with Aris over a deal this summer.

The 23-year-old has reportedly been scouted by the Ibrox side all season as Michael Beale steps up his striker search with Alfredo Morelos heading for the exit door, but they face serious competition from Burnley, Fenerbahce, Olympiacos and Anderlecht. The Belgian side is reportedly the early frontrunners for a deal to land the Honduras cap, but they will not be able to offer European football next term after struggling in the league this term.

That could open the door for Rangers as Palma's agent Paolo Hernandez who stated the Honduras international wanted to "take a step forward" this summer to a "more competitive league and a more competitive team". He told La Prensa: "What's obvious is that people are asking, teams' scouting systems are putting out significant numbers and statistics. So there is interest in his work, in his game and in his performance on the field.

"The European market will open up and the normal thing is that if he stays healthy for the rest of the games, with two more to go, what we all hope is that Luis will be in the transfer market this summer.

"He is grateful to Aris and the president for being the person who invested in him. It is not easy to take the risk of betting on a player who comes from a small team in Honduras and put him directly in a club like ArIs, who play in Europe, who have 25,000 people every game, with a lot of fans behind him.

"We are not taking for granted the chairman, the fans and the club. But the footballer's dream and mine as the player's agent, is to take a leap forward and go to a more competitive league and a more competitive team."

Asked about Rangers and interest from the English Premier League, Hernandez went on: "Today there are teams actively inquiring about his situation, about offers. I keep it between myself, the club and the player, but I can tell you that there are more than 10 teams actively inquiring about the player.

"Obviously teams can buy him. In fact we have already turned down options from teams that have asked us or that have made approaches knowing that for us they are options that we are not interested in."
