Luis Palma pictured with Honduras physio amid Celtic injury fears

Luis Palma has been pictured with the Honduras physio amid a recent injury concern.

Fears were sparked yesterday when it emerged that the Celtic star could be missing for a period after picking up a knock on international duty.

He starred in a 2-0 victory over Mexico in the first leg of their CONCACAF Nations League semi-final clash, taking his domestic form at Celtic onto the international scene. He claimed the Man of the Match award in the process.

But Palma’s game was cut short due to injury, with national team boss Reinaldo Rueda revealing that his player is a doubt for the second leg tonight.

Speaking about the 23-year-old, he said: "Luis Vega has a discomfort in his shoulder, and a small discomfort that Luis Palma has in a duel he had with Sánchez, we have those situations, today we will have our first training session.

"Yesterday recovery work was done, all joint mobility was stimulated and there we will see the evolution of the entire group.”

Now, the Hoops winger, who has four goals and provided five assists in the Premiership so far this term, has been pictured with the Honduras physio Jorge Pachecho.

He uploaded a selfie to his Instagram page, which Palma then shared on his account.

Everyone connected to Celtic will be hoping his injury is nothing serious and that he will be in contention to play Motherwell this weekend.

Meanwhile, Matt O'Riley's debut for Denmark last night has resulted in some pretty impressive comparisons for the Celtic attacker.

The 22-year-old made his first appearance for the Danish national team at Windsor Park against Northern Ireland.

It didn't go the way the English-born advanced midfielder would have liked, with Michael O'Neill's men winning 2-0 on home soil.

O'Riley wore the number 10, which is usually Christian Eriksen's jersey.
