Luis Palma has no complaints about his place at Celtic while praising teammates' form

Celtic ace Luis Palma has admitted he has no complaints about not getting into Brendan Rodgers' team... because he knows they are flying at the moment.

Palma is on international duty this week as his Honduras team prepares to face their own Nations League qualifiers against Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.

He's only featured for a combined total of 36 minutes for Celtic this season and suffered an ankle injury at the start of the season.

Despite being fully first now and available for international selection, Palma has had to kick his heels on the sidelines.

But he insisted he isn't bitter about not being a regular.

Palma said: "I was injured in the first game of the season and you have to take that into account.

"It has taken me a while to get back, and also, my Celtic teammates are doing really well at the moment.

"So I just have to wait for the opportunity to get back.

"I am now concentrating on the two games for the national team and we are desperate to bounce back because it hurt us not to qualify for the Copa America.

"We have to do well in this tournament and particularly show how strong we are in our home games.

"For me, I am certainly relishing the opportunity to play for my country again."
