Having scored 120 goals across his six seasons as a Liverpool player, Sadio Mane's departure leaves a shortfall that will need covering.
Much of the burden has immediately been placed on Darwin Nunez, a player who has effectively replaced Mane, even if, stylistically, the £64m striker is much different to Bayern Munich's new frontman.
The hopes are high for Nunez, so much so that the Uruguayan could eventually become the most expensive player in Anfield history if his £21m worth of add-ons are unlocked during his time on Merseyside. Two goals in as many substitute appearances so far suggest he is a player who will score goals while he continues to become attuned to what is demanded up top by Jurgen Klopp.
