Liverpool have been dealt a major injury blow with striker Luis Diaz ruled out until after the World Cup with a knee injury before the clash with Rangers.
The Reds were forced into a first half change during the English Premier League showdown with Arsenal as the Colombian ramped up the woes for Jurgen Klopp's ongoing injury situation at Anfield, with the likes of Scotland captain Andy Robertson also a major doubt for the showdown at Ibrox. Diaz had been struggling before he was forced off just before half-time to be replaced by Roberto Firmino, who went on to score in the 3-2 defeat to Mikel Arteta's side.
The attacker, who impressed during the matchday three win for Liverpool against the Scottish Premiership side, was spotted leaving the Emirates using crutches and wearing a knee brace. Reports south of the border suggest that the forward will not require surgery but will be out for a substantial spell.
He is not expected to make an appearance before Qatar 2022. He will miss 10 games, starting with the Battle of Britain clash with Rangers.
