Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson left in stitches by what Arthur Melo did to Ben Doak in Liverpool training

Liverpool starlet Ben Doak will not want to see re-runs of today's training rondos after he was nutmegged by Arthur Melo.

Summer signing Arthur, who has spent large parts of the campaign sidelined through injury, showed his skill as the Reds players returned to club training following the international break.

In a video posted by Liverpool's official Twitter account, Doak can be seen in the middle of a rondo with Curtis Jones and, as he goes to close down the on-loan Juventus midfielder, he superbly drags it through the 17-year-old's legs.

The squad, including the fit-again Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, burst into laughter at what had unravelled, leaving Doak in disbelief as he trotted over to hug Arthur.

Despite not wanting to relive that rondo at the AXA Training Centre, Doak did express his delight at being back with the group after a worrying head injury playing for Liverpool's U19s.

On Instagram, he posted: "Happy to be back."

His Scottish compatriot, Andy Robertson, wasn't so kind in the comments, as he replied: "Season ticket in the middle".

Following the March internationals, the Reds were back in training ahead of their lunchtime trip to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp received a boost as Nunez and Diaz returned to first-team training. Nunez didn't travel with Uruguay for their recent fixtures after suffering a gash on his ankle, which prohibited his involvement. Diaz has gradually been returning to fitness following a setback in his rehabilitation from the knee injury the Colombian suffered in the defeat to Arsenal in October.
