Luis Diaz added to Liverpool squad on FIFA 22 as impressive rating confirmed

Following his £49 million transfer from FC Porto in January, new Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has now been added to the Reds' squad on FIFA 22.

Despite initial interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool stole a march on the North London side by agreeing a deal that could rise to £49m with Porto last week, which includes an initial £37m with a further £12m in add ons, which saw the Reds clinch the signing on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Diaz signed a five-year contract at Anfield, with the Colombian set to travel to Liverpool towards the end of this week once his international commitments are fulfilled.

EA Sports released a database update for FIFA 22 on Thursday, February 3, which transferred Diaz from Porto to Liverpool, with Reds fans now able to virtually select Diaz in online and offline game modes for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Now he's been added to the Liverpool squad, let's take a look at the 24-year-old's stats on FIFA 22.

Overall rating: 83/99

Overall Potential : 86/99

Position: LM

Weak Foot: Four-Star

Skill Moves: Four-Star

Work Rate: High/Medium

At the start of FIFA 22 back in October, Diaz was rated 80 out of 99. But since then Diaz has increased by three ratings overall, currently rated 83 out of 99 with an increased potential rating of 86 out of 99.

According to FIFA 22, Diaz's strongest position is LM, but the Colombian can also play LW, RW and even ST if needed.

Compared to the rest of the Liverpool attackers, the 24-year-old is the same rating as Diogo Jota (83), but has a lower rating than Roberto Firmino (85), Mane (89) and Mohamed Salah (91).

Compared to the rest of Liverpool's attacking talent, the Colombian is a huge improvement on their previous options, rating much higher than Divock Origi (76), Takumi Minamino (75) and Kaide Gordon (61).

Diaz has a high potential rating of 86 out of 99, which is higher than the current and potential rating of Firmino, the same as Thiago (86), but just a bit lower than Harvey Elliott (87) and Jota (88).

When compared to Salah and Mane, Diaz has a similar set of attributes on FIFA 22, possessing extreme pace, impressive dribbling and strong shooting stats. Diaz boasts 92 out of 99 in both his acceleration and sprint speed, slightly lower than Salah but faster than Mane, Jota and Firmino.

When comparing both left-wingers Mane and Diaz, both are very similar in their attributes.

Mane is slightly slower, with his pace rated 91 out of 99 compared to Diaz's 92. Mane has slightly better shooting (82) than Diaz (80) with the Senegalese's finishing (85) five ratings higher than Diaz and his positioning (90) being 10 ratings higher.

Both wingers have 89 out of 99 for dribbling, whilst Mane's overall passing and physicality are both better than the Colombian, with Mane's aerial ability and strength the big difference between the two.

Apart from his pace, Diaz's best stats are his dribbling (89), agility (86), ball control (84), shot power (84), reactions (83), composure (83), stamina (83) and long shots (82).

Standing at 5ft 11ins, Diaz has four-star weak foot and four-star skill moves, showcasing how skilful the winger is and how he has the ability to use both feet confidently, whether it's passing or shooting.

Overall, Diaz's FIFA 22 rating confirms that Liverpool have secured an exciting attacking talent who could have an immediate, and long-term impact, at Anfield.
