Ludvig Aberg What's In The Bag?
A rising star in the world of golf, Ludvig Aberg is already a PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Ryder Cup winner, having only turned pro in 2023. The Swede attended Texas Tech University where he won a program-record eight times, and became the first golfer to win back-to-back Big 12 Conference Championship titles in 2022 and 2023. Since turning pro, he's put pen to paper on club deals with Titleist and apparel deals with Adidas, so let's take a look at exactly what clubs the young Swede plays.
Ludvig Aberg What's In The Bag?
Driver
What Driver Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
At the top of the bag he starts with a Titleist TSR2 driver with 9° of loft in the D4 SureFit setting. He has. Fujikura Ventus Black 6 driver shaft fitted to this head.
The TSR2 appears a fraction more compact at address, but there's no denying it looks superb. Featuring a powerful feel off the tee, the work that Titleist has done, both on the aerodynamics and on the design of the face, has boosted the speed on offer. Along with the added speed, it's the consistency where it shines as, in testing, the all round playability of the head was incredible and helped favour off-centre strikes.
Fairway wood
What Fairway Wood Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
Aberg's deal with Titleist isn't for a full bag of clubs, and his fairway woods is the only area where he strays from the brand. Currently, he's using the TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods carrying 15°, 18° and 21° models. His 15° 3-wood and 18° 5-wood are fitted with Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 8 X shafts while the 21° 7-wood is fitted with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 9 X. He's one of the few Tour pros to carry three different fairway woods, with the 21° 7-wood becoming an especially fashionable club on Tour.
Irons
What Irons Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
Aberg's irons are the latest iteration of the Titleist T100. He carries them from 4-PW with a KBS Tour 130 X shaft attached. Introduced in the latter half of 2023, the T100 is Titleist's modern Tour iron as part of its T-Series range. While Aberg did used to play the 620MB, he moved to a full bag of T100 irons after he penned his equipment deal with Titleist.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
Aberg was one of the first players on Tour to switch into the newest Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. He carries two of these, a 50° with 8 degrees of bounce in a 'F' grind as well as a 54° head with 10 degrees of bounce in a 'S' grind. His final wedge is a Vokey WedgeWorks Proto with a 60° head and 10 degrees of bounce is a 'V' grind. All three are fitted with KBS Tour 130 X shafts.
Vokey's F grind is his 'all-purpose' grind, predominantly designed to work best on full shots. The 'S' grind is built for players who prefer square faced shots and who like to control loft with their hands ahead or behind the ball. Vokey's 'V' grind is a grind that provides increased bounce on square face shots, and enhanced relief on open faced shots, which is why Aberg has used this for his 54° sand wedge and 60° lob wedge specifically.
Putter
What Putter Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
His final club in the bag is another non-Titleist club, an Odyssey Works Versa #1 putter. This putter is a blade and looks to have been part of his setup for a while now - it's seemingly one he never wants to change. It is fitted with a Winn Excel Vision grip.
Ball
What Golf Ball Does Ludvig Aberg Use?
Aberg uses the latest version of the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball. To mark his ball, he puts one black line above the Titleist logo.
Shoes
What Shoes Does Ludvig Aberg Wear?
Aberg signed a multi-year deal with Adidas in 2023 to wear the brand's shoes and apparel. His shoe model of choice is the adidas ZG23 which is one of the best golf shoes on the market in our opinion. It is a lightweight spiked golf shoe that sits alongside the Tour360 24 as the brand's Tour-level spiked shoes.
