Lucy Fallon has faced her first problem as a new mum as she gave a little update on her son's first week in the world. The former Coronation Street actress announced the arrival of her first child with footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson on Sunday (February 5).
The couple, who announced they were expecting when Lucy was five months pregnant in September, confirmed their newborn's birthdate alongside a snap of themselves as beaming new parents with their baby boy.
Lucy, who played Bethany Platt in Corrie from 2015 to 2022, posted the sweet black and white image of herself and Ryan as she cradled their precious bundle of joy. "Our beautiful boy," she captioned the photo as she shared that he was welcomed into the world on January 30.
She was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages with her former soap co-stars leading the gushing messages. And on Monday, Lucy returned to Instagram as she posed a short video of her baby boy, whose name is yet to be revealed, on her Instagram Story. The little one, whose face was hidden, could be seen wriggling around in a brand new baby grow.
But the new mum revealed all her first child's clothes are "too big", as she wrote: "Everything is too big," with a crying face emoji. She added: "Also that hiccup x," as fans could hear their newborn letting out a cute noise in the first clip of her newborn.
She then also shared a snap of her out with her first child in the pushchair as she marked a fresh milestone. "Happy one week," she penned alongside the image of her little one all cuddled up in a teddy onesie and bobble hat as she strolled through the streets as a first-time mum.
On Friday Lucy, who hails from Blackpool returned to social media after saying her son was "en route", with a hint that he may have arrived. She posted a photo of a bunch of blue and white flowers on her Instagram story. And fans were right to predict her son had made an appearance.
Lucy, 27, announced back in September that she was pregnant with her and Preston North End footballer Ryan's first child after they suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage earlier in the year.
Lucy went public with Ryan in June 2021 after love blossomed for the couple during lockdown after they met on the celebrity dating app, Raya. In December the mum-to-be shared the news with OK! magazine that she was having a boy as she celebrated her impending arrival at a baby shower with her soap star pals, including Helen Flanagan, and 100 guests at the plush Shankly Hotel in Liverpool.
