KOLKATA: While hundreds of families in Kolkata and rest of Bengal are spending sleepless nights worrying about the safety of their relatives caught in war-torn Ukraine, there are a few who breathed a sigh of relief after their loved ones returned home on Thursday and Friday. They had flown out of Ukraine late on Wednesday night, barely four hours before Russia captured it leading to a closure of Ukrainian air space.
Among those who returned home during the period was Aishik, a fifth-year medical student studying in Dnipro Medical Institute in Ukraine, who reached his Barrackpore home around 9.30 pm on Thursday.
