‘Lucky to be alive’: British woman survives 30ft plunge at Wales waterfall, demands stricter safety measures

A 50-year-old British woman has said she feels “lucky to be alive” after plunging nearly 30 feet off a narrow, eroded path at a popular waterfall trail in Wales, an area that has seen multiple fatalities in recent years.

She is now urging authorities to introduce stronger safety measures to prevent further tragedies. Suzie Dyer, a gardener from Hereford and mother of one, was hiking with a friend along the scenic Four Waterfalls Walk in Waterfall Country, located in Bannau Brycheiniog, also widely known as the Brecon Beacons, on New Year’s Day when the accident occurred.
