One lucky Lotto winner has scooped the £8.5 million jackpot in Wednesday’s draw. Players are being urged to check their ticket to see if they’ve won £8,525,949.
It comes as the second Lotto jackpot winner of the month after one ticket-holder banked £5.3m from the draw on April 13. An estimated £3.8m prize is now up for grabs in the draw on Saturday.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news, one ticket-holder has won tonight’s fabulous £8.5m Lotto jackpot. Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim this amazing prize."
The winning Lotto numbers in Wednesday’s draw 10, 22, 35, 38, 56, 57 and the bonus number is 46. Set of balls 1 and draw machine Guinevere were used.
No players matched five numbers plus the bonus ball to scoop £1m but 26 people did match five numbers to net themselves £1,750 each.
For the HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the Lotto draw, no-one matched all five numbers to win but two matched four numbers to claim £13,000 each.
Ticket holders also missed out on the Thunderball £500,000 top prize, with no-one matching all five numbers plus the Thunderball number. But four players won £5,000 by matching five numbers. The winning Thunderball numbers are: 01, 15, 33, 34, 39 and the Thunderball number is 06.
Mr Carter said: “National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country generating more than £30m every week. Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2bn has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus.”
