A lucky Lotto shop has created its second millionaire in less than two months.
Centra Summerhill in Co Meath has been revealed as the store that sold Wednesday's €4.6million winning Lotto ticket.
It comes just a few weeks after a lucky punter bought a €1million Millionaire Raffle slip there on New Year's Eve.
Shop owner Geoff Scally was shocked to hear that he had another customer who had become an overnight millionaire.
He said: “We still get customers from far and wide saying congratulations for selling the Millionaire Raffle ticket from New Year’s Eve so I’d say our regulars will be both shocked and delighted to see that we’ve had another big winner in the community.
"I had seen news online that the jackpot ticket was sold in Meath but I never guessed that it was our store.
"I was totally surprised when I got the call from the National Lottery with the good news so I can only imagine how the winner must have felt checking their ticket after Wednesday’s draw.
"I truly hope that it brings the winner great luck and that they really enjoy their win and their new title as a Lotto jackpot winner!”
The National Lottery has confirmed that the Meath winner has made contact and arrangements are now being made for them to claim their life-changing prize.
The news comes after it emerged the Friday's winning EuroMillions ticket was sold in Co Clare.
The lucky ticketholder became the 17th person in Ireland to win the EuroMillions jackpot when they matched all the numbers in the draw.
The winning numbers were 13, 18, 38, 42, 45 with lucky stars 7 and 11.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “There are sure to be celebrations happening in County Clare today!
"One of our EuroMillions players in the Banner County has woken up as Ireland’s 17th EuroMillions jackpot winner after winning the truly life-changing amount of €30.9 million in Friday night’s draw.
"Today, we are appealing to our players in Clare to check their tickets carefully and if they are the lucky winner, we are advising them to remain calm and to sign the back of their ticket."
