A lucky Irish punter was toasting their golf knowledge on Sunday night after they picked out not one, but two winners on the big tours to bag themselves a five-figure windfall.
The anonymous backer struck the wager in a BoyleSports shop in Dublin, placing a €10 each-way double on Keegan Bradley to win the Zozo Championship on the PGA Tour and Adrian Otaegui to win the Andalucía Masters on the DP World Tour.
It was four years without a victory for American Bradley, but the canny punter picked the right time to strike as the 25/1 shot carded a final round of 68 to beat Rickie Fowler by one stroke.

Spaniard Otaegui, backed at 45/1, had a much more comfortable win in Spain as he went into the final round with a six-shot lead and never looked like being caught as he also shot 68 on Sunday to seal the spectacular double.
The stunning prediction allowed the Dublin punter to return to the shop and swap their betslip for a whopping total of €12,560.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Our Dublin customer clearly knows their stuff because it’s not easy picking out two winners in the same week, never mind one who hadn’t won in four years. Fair play to them for landing a great double and we hope the winnings go down well.”
