A TD had a lucky escape during a broad daylight robbery in Dublin this afternoon and has called for more garda resources following the latest scary anti-social incident in the capital.
It happened outside the shopping centre along the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 at the junction with Nutley Lane. Sinn Fein spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Defence John Brady was on a run during a break from the Dail when he encountered a locked bike being ripped from a rack.
He called out for the gang of vandals to stop and one of the thugs ran toward him and reached for something in their pocket. Then they decided to steal a bike and come toward him and two others, one of which was the owner of the bike being stolen.
