LUCKNOW: Lucknow Municipal Corporation will run a three-day special drive to maintain cleanliness on Bakrid.
Besides cleaning places where animal remains will be dumped after sacrifice, LMC staff will clean roads leading to major mosques and make sure that uninterrupted water supply is provided to different areas.
It will also fill potholes on routes of praying places.
Municipal commissioner Indrajit Singh on Tuesday directed officials to clean all major routes to Teele Wali Masjid, Eidgah and other mosques.
All the drains in Muslim-dominated areas will be cleaned on all three days. On Bakrid, cleaning will be done thrice, followed by two the next day and once on the third day, said Singh. He also instructed officials of the Jalkal department to ensure an interrupted supply of water during the day on Bakrid.
