Lucknow: Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia orders action against illegal dairies

LUCKNOW: About 250 residents of Patel Nagar in Indiranagar are facing the problem of stray cattle due to illegal dairy farming in their areas.

The residents raised the issue during Lok Mangal Diwas organized by Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) here on Tuesday. The grievance redressal camp is organised on Tuesdays in different zones so that area residents can bring their problems to the Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia.

"Five illegal dairies are operating in our area and the breeders leave their cattle on the roads after milking which often leads to accidents," said Dinesh Sethi (64), a resident of Patel Nagar. "We have been dealing with this problem for a long time and we have complained many times, but no action was taken," Sethi told Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia.
