LUCKNOW: A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing a minor. The accused, Shekhar Singh alias Aashish, was arrested from Indiranagar C block.
The complainant alleged that the accused’s wife had urged the minor’s parents to send their daughter to their place for home tuition of the accused’s children.
The minor was tutoring his children for two months during which the accused clicked a photo of the girl, morphed it and started blackmailing her. He also allegedly raped her and threatened to make the photo viral.
The accused had also called allegedly given her some pills.
ADCP north zone Prachi Singh said that based on the survivor’s family’s complaint, the accused was arrested within five hours from Indiranagar.
