LUCKNOW: After instilling fear in the hearts of enemies for three decades, weapon systems of INS Gomati, including Soviet surface-to-surface missile system, Danish radar and other critical instruments of the frigate, will be showcased at the INS Gomati Memorial being set up in Lucknow.
The Indian Navy and the Uttar Pradesh government had signed a memorandum to create a memorial of INS Gomati, which has the war insignia of Chattar Manzil, the Nawab palace which gave shelter to the freedom-fighters of Uprising of 1857.
