Arsenal are set for yet another busy summer transfer window less than 12 months after splashing out in excess of £140million on six first-team players.
The north London outfit spent more than any other Premier League side last summer and football.london understands that technical director Edu is keen to sign at least one attacker, a central midfielder and a backup fullback, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Youri Tielemans and Aaron Hickey all of interest for those respective positions.
There will also be plenty of outgoings at the Emirates Stadium as Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are into the final weeks of their contracts at the club whilst Bernd Leno, Nicolas Pepe and Hector Bellerin have all been linked with a permanent exit.

Now, transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that loanee Lucas Torreira won't join Serie A side Fiorentina on a permanent basis having spent this season on loan with the Italian outfit. La Viola were said to have the option to sign the Uruguayan international on a permanent basis for €15million (£13million) this summer but Di Marzio has claimed that Torreira will be returning to the Gunners at the end of the current campaign.
However, Torreira then took to social media to post a picture of him holding the home jersey of La Viola, perhaps in reply to the reports claiming that he won't be making his loan move a permanent one. And Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano has previously made it no secret of his admiration for the 26-year-old. Speaking to Football Italia last month, Italiano said: “The playmaker is the fulcrum of the team. So if the midfield is running smoothly, the whole side runs smoothly. This is one of the main principles of football.
“Lucas brought balance and has been prolific in front of goal too, showing his extraordinary quality. There are no doubts over what he can give this squad in future.”
